"I had an idea for a song, doesn’t everyone ? But for almost a year, I couldn’t turn that idea into a song. Taylor and the staff at Denver Song Lab helped get me there in the span of 5 amazing sessions. What I liked most about working with Denver Song Lab was how comfortable and inspired they made me feel throughout the journey.

Taylor offered ideas, encouragement and support as well as the roadmap to get me there.  It never felt intimidating, and I always felt like my ideas were heard and shaped in a way that aligned with the story I wanted to tell.  Luke and Mateo’s musical knowledge and skill offered ideas that helped develop the musical structure and gave the lyrics the soul I couldn’t find on my own. The curriculum is incredibly well thought out and organized in a way that kept it fun while still staying in task. The sessions helped me trust myself more as a songwriter and gave me the tools I needed to keep building songs instead of overthinking them, or even worse, putting them on the shelf.

The communication before, during and after each session helped keep the momentum going forward. If you’re on the fence about trying it,  just go for it — it’s a really encouraging way to grow, have fun while doing it and you’ll get to work with some of the most talented musicians / songwriters you’ll ever meet.  Invest in yourself, you won’t regret it."

"Writing a song had been in the back of my mind since I was a little girl, but I never knew how to turn all of my scattered thoughts, journal entries, and ideas into something real. Denver Song Lab made what felt impossible suddenly feel possible.

Watching random snippets that had been floating around in my head for years become an actual song was honestly surreal. Taylor helped shape the melody and structure without ever taking away what made it feel like my song. The lyrics, emotions, and overall feel are still deeply personal—it was an incredibly therapeutic experience to transform years of thoughts and feelings into music.

What surprised me most was how quickly Taylor understood what I was trying to say, even when I couldn't find the words myself. She always had thoughtful suggestions that stayed true to the heart of the song.

If you've ever had ideas in your head that you didn't know what to do with, or you've written poems, journal entries, or lyrics but never knew how to turn them into a song—I can't recommend Denver Song Lab enough. You don't have to be an experienced musician. Bring an open mind, be willing to collaborate, and trust the process. You might surprise yourself with what you're capable of creating."
